Filing a DMCA Counter-Notification
If you believe that your content was removed or access was disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification in a DMCA notice, you may submit a Counter-Notification.
Your Counter-Notification must include the following:
- Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- The specific URL or location of the material that was removed or disabled before removal.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or the United States District Court for the Central District of California if you reside outside the U.S.).
- Your acceptance of service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Upon receiving a valid Counter-Notification, Sophia Lynn Brown may replace the removed material (or cease disabling access to it) after 10 to 14 business days, unless the party who submitted the original DMCA Notice files a court action seeking a court order restraining the party filing the Counter-Notification from engaging in infringing activity.
